Shelby's Baptism

Shelby got baptized on Sun. April 27 at Messiah, where Scotty and I got married. It was wonderful and she looked beautiful in her dress. My friend Tara, and Scotty's brother Brian were named the godparents. She did well at the baptism in front of the whole congregation, until they poured the holy water over her head. She wasn't too fond of that and let everyone know.

After the baptism, everyone came out to the house and we had a barbeque. It was nice to spend the day with our family and friends who could be there. We missed those who could not, but understand. Here are a couple of family photos we snuck in while everyone was dressed in their Sunday best!!!

Who's chair is this anyway?

When we went to Arkansas last weekend, Shelby tried this new bouncy seat from my brother and sister in-law. She loved it, so we brought it home. Milo seems to really like the seat too. I didn't try the vibrations while Milo was in the seat. I guess this new seat is a hit all the way around!!

Hi Fred Bird!!!

Tara gave Shelby this Fred bird a week or so ago, so I thought I would dress her up and show a little Cardinal spirit. This is her at 8 and 1/2 weeks and included is a pic of her in the same outfit at 1 week. This was definitely the last time she had on her baseball outfit. When we went to the doctor on April 10, Shelby weighed 10 lbs 12 oz and is now a whopping 20 1/2 in long. She has really grown from her 5 lbs 13 oz and 18 in. I've tried to talk her into slowing down, but she is already not listening to her mother!!!

I'm a big girl!!!

We finished Shelby's room yesterday. My step-mom came over and we worked on getting her room organized and put together. While we did that, we layed her down in her crib for the first time and she took a 2 hour nap. She did so well, that last night, she slept in her crib instead of in mommy's room. I was a little sad, but I know she slept much better in her bed than she did in the bassinet. Now the bassinet has become a changing table in her room. I am so excited to have her room complete!!!
