Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was great My mom and Larry came into town for Shelby's 1st Easter. Sat. we had Easter dinner at our house. Sun. we took Shelby to church for the1st time. Then we all went to Scotty's aunt and uncle's for family lunch. It was just a good time. Here are some pics.

Shelby Meets her Cousins!!

Last week, my nephews and niece were in town with their grandparents to spend time with family. They all stopped by to see us and meet Shelby girl. They were too cute. The kids weren't too sure about her yet because she just kind of sits there and doesn't do much yet. But I'm sure things will change. They each took a turn holding her. Jersey Grace was holding her and said "She is too big!" I think she's the only person to refer to Shelby as big!!! You have to take into consideration the size of the source herself!!

Weekend in Arkansas

After shopping and meeting the Easter Bunny on Sat., we went to visit Jodie and Kailyn on Sun. It was a good visit. Jodie and Kailyn were fighting over who was going to hold Shelby though. Kailyn was a little nervous at first, but then she showed that she is a real pro. Jodie swears that there are no siblings in Kailyn's future though. The other picture of Shelby was Grandma and Aunt Tara playing around. It turned out to be a cute picture though!!

Easter Bunny!!

Tara, Shelby and I came down to Arkansas this weekend to visit Grandma and Papaw. Today us girls went shopping and took Miss Shelby to the mall and had her picture taken with the Easter Bunny. She looks extremely tiny next to the big old bunny!!!

Just chillin!!

After a weekend of running all over town and visiting with family and friends, Jay, Shelby, and I just hung out on Sun. night and watched some movies. It was Scotty's first night back to work since baby Shelby's arrival. It was kind of rough at the beginning of the week with just Shelby and I, but we are making it through. She's actually sleeping about 3 to 3 1/2 hours at a time through the night (after the start of the week-that's wonderful)!

The weather was so nice last weekend, I was even able to dress her in a more spring like outfit!!

Just this past Sat. night, we went out to dinner at a Japanese restaurant, with some friends. Here is a pic of the 3 of us.

Say Hello to Shelby's "Little" Friend!!

Friday night we went to Grandma and Grandpa Jennings' house for dinner. Grandma gave Shelby her new catepillar buddy. The catepillar is so cute and so big. We didn't actually measure it, but it is almost as long as Scotty is tall (about 5' 10''). We are going to try to take pictures of her next to her friend, on a regular basis, and use it as a guide to watch her grow. ( I stole the idea from Kim and Natalie's bunny pictures).

SHELBY GIRL IS HERE!!!

I know I am a little behind, but I am finally updating the blog. Shelby Anne arrived at SJMMC on Sun. Feb. 10 at 5:07 am. She weighed 5 lbs and 13 oz and measured 18 in. When we left the hospital, she weighed 5lbs and 7 oz. We had a check up at the doctor's office today and Shelby now weighs 6lbs and 2 oz. The doctor said that she looks beautiful; her color looks great, and we don't have to go back until April 10 for her 2 month check up. Here are some pics.

These 2 pictures of her in the basket were taken on Feb 19 when she was 9 days old.

The pictures of her in the baseball outfit were taken on the 17th at 7 days old.
